Introduction
Placebo Effect is a project launched by the Placebo Research Center, founded in 2011, and directed by longtime social entrepreneur, Daniel Jacobs. The Placebo Research Center is the first of its kind focusing on educating people about how to create and harness a placebo effect in their lives to transform their lives, their communities, and the world.
The Placebo Effect Mission
Our mission at Placebo Effect is to educate people about the enormous benefits of the placebo effect, inspire people to use the placebo effect to create positive changes in their lives, and provide people with everything they need to act on that inspiration. Here’s how we’re fulfilling that mission:
Education: We’ve created PlaceboEffect.com to share with you all relevant placebo effect research in a language the whole world can understand – starting with a Beginner’s Guide to the Placebo Effect. We’re also making it easy for you to navigate the information about the placebo effect and find the information that’s specific to you. This knowledge sharing project is immense and still just beginning. There are updates to the site every day.
Inspiration: We are dedicating to teaching you how to put your knowledge about the amazing power of the placebo effect to use in creating the changes you wish to see in your life. Placebos are perhaps the oldest drug known to man, but we’ve only recently begun to understand how the placebo effect works, and how people can use it to make meaningful life changes. Whether through Placebo Method teachings or various placebo effect blog entries, we’ve dedicated our time to help you do that.
Action: At Placebo Effect, we don’t just want to inspire you, we want to support all along the way in creating meaningful placebo effects in your life. What this means, for now, is that we offer placebo effect seminars and courses that can provide hands on support for you in creating a placebo effect in your life. Additionally, we are cooking up something special behind-the-scenes that combines science, technology, and mysticism to both make massive contributions to the next generation of placebo effect research, and provide you with next-generation support in enacting a placebo effect in your life.
